What If...? #44 (1992) — Short Synopsis

"What If... Venom Had Possessed the Punisher" is an alternate reality story from What If...? #44 (Dec 1992), written by Kurt Busiek and illustrated by Luke McDonnell.

In this “what if” scenario, the Venom symbiote does not bond with Eddie Brock, but instead attaches to the Punisher, Frank Castle. The symbiote’s influence transforms Castle into a far more violent, powerful, and lethal version of himself. While initially acting under Castle’s control, the symbiote begins to take over his body during sleep, seeking to fully possess him  

The story follows Castle’s increasingly brutal actions, including killing Tombstone and the Kingpin, as the symbiote’s control grows. The narrative also features appearances by Spider-Man, Daredevil, the Fantastic Four, Moon Knight, and other Marvel characters, all set in an alternate Earth-92164
