Synopsis for "The Mirror Liars (Shattershot, Pt. 4)"

This story takes places in a potential future where a series of Mojos were defeated and the former slaves took over, led by Shatterstar. However, this new society had become authoritarian, emphasizing gladiatorial games featuring captured Spineless ones. The creator of the Mojoverse slaves, Arize, traveled to Earth with two rebel Spineless Ones to seek help from this future's incarnation of X-Force in deposing Shatterstar.

They all return to Mojoworld and use the gladiatorial games to surprise and overthrow the ruling forces. When Shatterstar sees Arize and his old friends leading the fight, he realizes that he lost his way. Shatterstar's lieutenant, the Scheduler, tries to kill him and seize power, but the combined opposition is victorious. Shatterstar spares the Scheduler's life to begin a more just path for the planet. As the people cheer and the story comes to a close, an elderly Longshot quietly celebrates the restoration of freedom to the planet and walks off unnoticed.
