DC Comics Presents #4 — “Superman and the Metal Men: Sun-Stroke!”

Autumn in Metropolis is unusually warm, but the heat hides a deadly threat — the villain Chemo — in DC Comics Presents #4 (December 1978).

The story follows Superman and the Metal Men as they face a dangerous summer anomaly. The sun’s enhanced rays draw Metropolis’s citizens to the beaches, but Chemo emerges from the water, unleashing a blast of chemical fire that sends beachgoers fleeing The Metal Men, playing tennis in a junkyard, spot Chemo and attempt to stop him, but their Respondometers malfunction, leaving them vulnerable. They head to S.T.A.R. Labs to investigate
