X-Force #62 — “Human Nature” (Short Synopsis)

In X-Force #62, Shinobi Shaw’s scientists attempt to develop a machine that can strip mutants of their powers, using young Nga Coy Manh as a test subject. The experiment fails, but Shaw remains determined to weaponize the technology against his father and control the world  

X-Force infiltrates his island lab, but is quickly overwhelmed. Mindmeld, Shaw’s mercenary, uses her telepathy to swap Domino’s consciousness into Caliban’s body and Meltdown’s into Sunspot’s, rendering them powerless. All team members are captured and fitted with inhibitor collars  

While Shaw’s other mercenary, Clear-Cut, fights Shatterstar, Spiral appears and teleports Nga and her brother Leong away. Clear-Cut is later revealed to be a traitor, and Mindmeld takes over his body. Domino, now in Caliban’s form, retrieves a hidden key from Clear-Cut and frees her teammates
